So, things with Hazel are getting better, there was a point where Ryan wanted her out because she's a puppy and she whines and hasn't gotten used to the crate yet.
I've gotten a LOT of advice, and the ironic part is that this is the sort of issues I help people with daily; however, it's different with your own kid.
For an update on other pet situations in the house, Kohl passed away yesterday, and so I have gotten another young dumbo who looks a LOT like a lighter Elton. So far, I've been nicknaming him Dopple, short for Doppelgänger.
Clicker training has started, within 4 clicks Hazel was actively searching for her treat...this dog is ridiculously smart. Last night, she went to bed without any whining at all. Going in to the crate today when I went to work however, was a whole other story.
We're working on things. It's just slow. But progress is being made at least.
