Well then.
Sep. 2nd, 2009 09:22 amMonday my grandfather shot himself by shoving the barrel of a gun under his chin and blasting his brains all over his camper / trailer. He'd been in the hospital over the weekend recovering from a stroke, and found out he had lung cancer while in said hospital. When his brother Walter took him home Sunday and got him settled in, he had no idea when he came back Monday to check on him he'd find that. Grandpa called Walter & his wife Liz at 8:14 and 8:16 to see where they were they felt like, and they assume he pulled the trigger shortly after that.
He left a note for Walter explaining that he just couldn't take the pain anymore.
Walter, shortly after, went MIA and because a gun was involved, the Police turned the remains and scene over to Homicide and the case can't be closed until they find Walter. Grandma called Dad AS WE WERE DRIVING, and asked him to contact the police and try and make himself the point of contact since no one could find Walter or get him to answer his phone. wtf family, wtf. So we pull off at a Taco Bell in Jackson and he spends half an hour trying to prove that he is family and find out whats going on from the Police. After several calls yesterday, he is now the next of kin and we may have to haul ass all the way down to Miami to settle things. ugh.
And now I'm stuck in Navarre with my backwards ass family and their backwards ass drama. Dad wanted someone to check on James, the baby brother, and my Grandmother goes 'No, Timmy can't do it. They won't talk to each other.' your father just shot himself, and you can't put aside bad blood for a few days? you're idiots.
If you've got the ability, please text me or something. I'm still on this phone for about another month before I'm back to the old one, so keep me some company. I'm almost ashamed because out of all of my friends, no one that I know in 'real life' has bothered to send me anything / say anything to me. I could use the love right now. 469.360.5802
