I need someone to do a VERY special commision for me.

it's a tribute to my dog Brandy, who gave us all a very bad scare earlier this week.

she's started to hit old age, I belive, and at 12 years old, I can understand. (it, however, doesn't make things better) she's gotten to a point where she cant keep her legs hardly, she stands and then topples over at times. she's on steroids now, and they seem to help her. But I cant help but feel like its the start of the end.

I've had her for as long as I can remember, and this is killing me.

She's a lab mix, a soft yellow...and she's been my best friend in the world forever.

Im looking for one of my artistic friends who will do this commision for me, so I can have something of her forever.

money is also not an option at all. I'll pay anything, but it will have to be gradual payments if it's more than like...50. I only make about 400 a month, and that's if Im really lucky.

I have no artistic talent whatsoever, but I just wanted to post to say that I know how you're feeling, probably almost exactly.

My dog, Boone, is going to be 15 in June. He's been my best friend and companion since I was 6 years old.
He too is experiencing leg weakness, and sometimes when he goes outside his hind legs will just give out and he'll have to pull himself along on his forelegs.
He's also almost completley deaf and losing his eyesight.

The vet says he's actually in pretty good health for his age, but I too feel in the bottom of my heart time is definetly not his friend, and it kills me to think about sometimes.

Just wanted to let you know if you ever want to talk about it, I'm here and know exactly how you're feeling, I think. You've been such a good friend through all my problems, I just want you to know I'll be there if you ever want to talk to someone who understands.

I had been meaning to ask you how Boone was doing anyways...but I always seem to get sidetracked at the moment..

brandy's eyes are going to, but aside from all of this with her legs, she's in good health.

I know how you feel about the end though...just the mere thought makes me start to cry almost. D:

What kind of a special commission are you looking for precisely? something digital? real media?? and did you have any specific ideas in mind?

Something like what you did http://www.deviantart.com/view/21690409/, with the Kalahari Cat...I Love the light that seems to flow through that picture, it seems to just fit for it's beauty.

Im assuming it was digital, and honestly Im not really sure what I wanted done...I Just wanted something that I could have displayed, like a framed work of some sort..

there is one more picture that Im looking for, which is my absolute favorite of her...she was outside when it started to snow, and she was looking up and a snow flake fell right on her nose. It was perfect, and she looked so happy and carefree

I really appreciate you talking to me about this...all of your work has such emotion in it...when I decided to do this, honestly I thought of you first but wasn't sure if you were still taking comissions

well Im technically not taking commissions but you know things like this that have such meaning I am almost always willing to take on..because I know how much a piece of art can mean. Ive done a lot of real media stuff with animal portraits, people seem to prefer that...but I am more than happy to do a digital work and have a single jumbo print of it made just for you. If you find that photo send it my way so I can brainstorm.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAWW! That is such a sweeeettttt picture and I am definetly a huge sucker for that sort of thing. I see a very dreamy painting, something heavily emotional but with a spiritual feel, perhaps a little like 'Walk with me' but obviously with more realism. Do you have a bigger version of the photo? if not thats cool but a bigger version would be helpful :). *snugs to you* hope the girl is feeling better.

awe, I know how you feel. I lost the dog I grew up with a year or so ago... it's hard. Just remember the good times, and treasure the time you've still got. And don't be ashamed of a few tears. It helps, in the end. <3
